By accessing, browsing, using, and/or completing a reservation through Discovery Kite, you acknowledge and agree that you have read, understood, and accepted the Terms & Conditions set out below.
The guest making the booking accepts these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all members of their travel party and is responsible for the accuracy of all information provided, including names, travel dates, passport details, arrival information, dietary requirements, medical conditions, and activity levels.
Discovery Kite reserves the right to update, amend, or adjust these Terms & Conditions when necessary. The version applicable to your booking is the version confirmed at the time of reservation, unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing.
To confirm a Discovery Kite kite safari booking, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required.
The remaining 70% balance is due 60 days before departure.
For bookings made less than 60 days before departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
For kite safari weeks, yacht safari weeks, FTI weeks, partner weeks, and fixed departure trips, the following cancellation policy applies:
More than 60 days before departure
30% cancellation fee — the deposit is retained.
30–60 days before departure
50% cancellation fee of the total booking amount.
Less than 30 days before departure
100% cancellation fee of the total booking amount.
No-show, late arrival, or early departure
No refund.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Routes, kite spots, island stops, and activities may change depending on wind, weather, sea conditions, safety, coast guard approvals, and operational requirements.
Kite lessons, supervision, and equipment rental may be confirmed onboard and are usually charged according to actual use, unless a fixed package has been agreed in writing.
By confirming a booking, guests agree to the full Discovery Kite Terms & Conditions below.
A booking is only considered confirmed once the required deposit or full payment has been received and Discovery Kite has issued a written booking confirmation.
Until payment is received, Discovery Kite cannot guarantee availability, cabin allocation, course placement, equipment reservation, or transfer arrangements.
For group bookings, private charters, partner weeks, and kite safari weeks, the person making the reservation is responsible for ensuring that all guests in the group are informed of and accept these Terms & Conditions.
Discovery Kite accepts payments by bank transfer, Revolut, Stripe, PayPal, or other agreed payment methods.
Additional payment processing fees may apply depending on the payment method, card type, country, or payment provider. Any bank charges, transfer fees, or payment provider fees are the responsibility of the guest unless agreed otherwise in writing.
For payments via Stripe, additional fees may apply for European and non-European cards.
For kite courses, kite camps, hotel packages, accommodation packages, or other travel packages, a deposit may be required to confirm the reservation. The exact deposit amount depends on the package and will be communicated at the time of booking.
For kite safari weeks, yacht safari weeks, FTI weeks, partner weeks, and fixed departure trips, the following payment policy applies unless agreed otherwise in writing:
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the guest’s place.
The remaining 70% balance is due 60 days before departure.
If the booking is made less than 60 days before departure, the full amount is due at the time of booking.
If the balance payment is not received by the due date, Discovery Kite reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.
To cancel a booking, guests must contact Discovery Kite directly by email with their full name, booking details, arrival date, and reservation reference if available.
A cancellation is only considered valid once Discovery Kite has confirmed receipt of the cancellation request in writing.
Refunds, if applicable, are calculated from the date the written cancellation request is received and confirmed by Discovery Kite.
Kite courses, private lessons, supervision, and equipment rental can be confirmed onboard or before arrival, depending on availability.
Guests are not required to pay the full amount for kite lessons, supervision, or equipment rental in advance unless a special package has been agreed in writing.
For kite lessons, supervision, and equipment rental, the final amount is calculated based on the actual lessons, supervision, rental days, or equipment used during the trip. This helps avoid guests overpaying in advance for lessons or rental days they may not use due to wind conditions, weather conditions, personal level, safety decisions, instructor assessment, or personal choice.
For Discovery Kite safari weeks, yacht safari weeks, FTI weeks, partner weeks, and fixed departure trips, the following cancellation policy applies:
More than 60 days before departure
30% cancellation fee — the deposit is retained.
30–60 days before departure
50% cancellation fee of the total booking amount.
Less than 30 days before departure
100% cancellation fee of the total booking amount.
No-show, late arrival, or early departure
No refund.
The cancellation policy applies regardless of the reason for cancellation, including personal reasons, illness, flight changes, visa issues, travel delays, or changes in personal circumstances. For this reason, travel insurance is strongly recommended.
If a guest can no longer join the trip, they may request to transfer their booking to another person.
Name changes or guest replacements are subject to Discovery Kite’s approval and must be requested in writing before departure.
Any additional costs related to name changes, paperwork, transfers, permits, insurance, or administration are the responsibility of the guest.
Discovery Kite is not responsible for finding a replacement guest on behalf of the cancelling guest.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all guests and may be required for certain trips, partner weeks, or kite safari weeks.
Insurance should cover, but is not limited to:
Trip cancellation, flight delays, missed flights, medical emergencies, watersports activities, kiteboarding, personal belongings, lost luggage, emergency evacuation, and unexpected travel disruptions.
Discovery Kite is not responsible for any costs, losses, or damages resulting from the guest’s failure to obtain appropriate travel insurance.
Guests are responsible for ensuring that their insurance policy covers kiteboarding, watersports, yacht travel, and the destination of travel.
All guests are responsible for providing accurate and complete information before the trip, including passport details, travel information, flight details, dietary requirements, allergies, medical conditions, swimming ability, and kiteboarding level.
Guests must inform Discovery Kite of any health condition, injury, medication, pregnancy, allergy, disability, or other circumstance that may affect their ability to safely participate in the trip or activities.
Discovery Kite reserves the right to refuse participation in any activity if a guest’s level, behavior, physical condition, medical condition, or safety awareness may put themselves, other guests, instructors, crew, equipment, or the yacht at risk.
Guests must follow the instructions of the captain, crew, instructors, guides, and Discovery Kite team at all times.
All watersports activities, including kiteboarding, swimming, snorkeling, wakeboarding, and other water-based activities, are undertaken at the guest’s own risk.
Guests must behave responsibly, follow safety instructions, respect weather and sea conditions, and use equipment correctly.
Discovery Kite, its instructors, crew, captains, guides, partners, and suppliers are not responsible for accidents, injuries, damages, losses, or incidents resulting from unsafe behavior, failure to follow instructions, personal negligence, incorrect equipment use, or circumstances beyond Discovery Kite’s control.
Discovery Kite reserves the right to stop, postpone, or restrict any activity if conditions are considered unsafe.
Guests are responsible for honestly communicating their kiteboarding level before the trip.
For safety reasons, independent riding may only be allowed for guests who have the required level and can ride safely under the conditions of the day.
Beginners, refreshers, or guests who are not fully independent may be required to book lessons or supervision.
Discovery Kite and its instructors reserve the right to decide whether a guest may kite independently, requires supervision, or should not enter the water due to safety concerns.
Wind conditions are natural and cannot be guaranteed. No refund is given for lack of wind, unsuitable conditions, or reduced kite sessions caused by weather, safety, or operational reasons.
Equipment rental is charged according to the agreed package, rental period, or actual usage.
Guests renting kite equipment are responsible for returning all equipment in good condition.
Any damage, loss, or misuse of rented equipment may be charged to the guest according to the repair or replacement cost.
Equipment availability may depend on guest level, size, weather conditions, instructor assessment, and safety considerations.
Discovery Kite reserves the right to refuse or stop equipment rental if the guest’s level, behavior, weather conditions, or safety situation is not suitable.
In case of no wind or unsuitable conditions, equipment rental may not be required depending on the situation and agreement. This will be handled case by case by Discovery Kite.
Kite safari routes, island stops, lagoons, anchor points, daily programs, and activity schedules are always subject to weather, wind, sea conditions, coast guard approvals, marina permissions, safety considerations, and operational requirements.
Discovery Kite, the captain, and the operating team reserve the right to change the route, schedule, activity plan, or itinerary at any time before or during the trip if considered necessary.
Such changes do not entitle guests to a refund, compensation, or cancellation of the booking.
Discovery Kite will always aim to provide the best possible experience within the conditions available.
Life onboard a yacht requires flexibility, respect, and cooperation from all guests.
Guests are expected to respect the yacht, cabins, crew, other guests, shared spaces, safety rules, and onboard procedures.
Cabin allocation may depend on booking type, availability, gender arrangement, group setup, yacht layout, and operational requirements.
For shared cabins, Discovery Kite will do its best to arrange cabin sharing appropriately, usually men with men and women with women, unless otherwise agreed.
Private cabin requests are subject to availability and may require an additional supplement.
Discovery Kite is not responsible if a guest is unhappy with a shared cabin arrangement that was clearly booked and confirmed as shared accommodation.
Hotels, transfers, and additional travel services may be arranged by Discovery Kite or through third-party partners.
Deposit amounts, cancellation terms, and refund policies for hotels and transfers may depend on the hotel, supplier, transport company, or third-party partner.
Discovery Kite is not responsible for delays, cancellations, service changes, lost luggage, flight delays, or additional costs caused by airlines, airports, transport companies, hotels, or third-party providers.
Guests are responsible for providing correct flight details, arrival times, departure times, hotel names, and contact numbers.
Discovery Kite is not responsible for cancellations, delays, route changes, service interruptions, or additional costs caused by events beyond its control.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Weather conditions, wind conditions, sea conditions, coast guard restrictions, marina restrictions, government regulations, flight cancellations, airport closures, natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, war, civil disturbance, strikes, technical issues, medical emergencies, accidents, or any other force majeure event.
In such cases, Discovery Kite will do its best to offer a suitable alternative, rescheduling option, credit, or adjusted program depending on the situation and availability.
Refunds are not guaranteed unless required by law or agreed in writing by Discovery Kite.
Guests are responsible for ensuring they are medically and physically fit to travel, stay onboard a yacht, and participate in watersports activities.
Any relevant medical conditions, allergies, injuries, medications, or dietary requirements must be communicated before arrival.
Discovery Kite is not responsible for any health issues, allergic reactions, injuries, or complications resulting from undisclosed medical information.
In case of emergency, Discovery Kite and the yacht crew may assist in arranging medical support, but any medical costs, evacuation costs, hospital fees, transport costs, or related expenses are the responsibility of the guest.
Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings, including passports, phones, cameras, laptops, wallets, sunglasses, kite gear, and valuables.
Discovery Kite is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or forgotten personal items.
Guests are advised not to bring unnecessary valuables onboard and to keep important documents and belongings safely stored.
Guests are responsible for any damage caused by them to the yacht, cabins, furniture, equipment, facilities, tenders, watersports gear, hotel property, transfer vehicles, or third-party property.
Discovery Kite reserves the right to charge the guest for repair, replacement, cleaning, or damage costs resulting from negligence, misuse, irresponsible behavior, or failure to follow instructions.
This includes damage to kite equipment, rental gear, boards, bars, lines, harnesses, wetsuits, safety equipment, yacht property, cabin items, and shared onboard facilities.
Discovery Kite reserves the right to refuse service, remove a guest from an activity, or end a guest’s participation in a trip if their behavior is unsafe, disrespectful, aggressive, abusive, illegal, or disruptive to other guests, crew, instructors, partners, or the overall operation.
No refund will be given in such cases.
Guests must respect local laws, cultural norms, environmental rules, marine regulations, and onboard safety instructions at all times.
During Discovery Kite trips, photos and videos may be taken for guest memories, social media, marketing, and promotional use.
By joining a Discovery Kite trip, guests agree that general photos and videos taken during the trip may be used by Discovery Kite for marketing purposes, unless the guest informs Discovery Kite in writing before or during the trip that they do not wish to appear in promotional content.
Discovery Kite will always aim to use content respectfully and appropriately.
Guests are expected to respect the Red Sea environment, marine life, islands, reefs, lagoons, beaches, and protected areas.
Littering, touching coral, disturbing wildlife, damaging marine life, or ignoring environmental instructions is strictly not allowed.
Guests must follow all environmental and marine regulations communicated by Discovery Kite, the captain, crew, guides, or local authorities.
Discovery Kite may work with third-party partners, including hotels, transfer companies, yacht operators, instructors, equipment providers, travel agents, payment providers, and local suppliers.
Discovery Kite is not responsible for changes, delays, cancellations, accidents, or service issues caused by third-party providers outside its direct control.
Where possible, Discovery Kite will assist guests in communicating with the relevant provider.
